When attaching lure to leader thought has to be provided to the fishing lures action. A firmly tied knot around the lures eyelet can result in restrictions on the fishing lures movement through the water. Knots such as the Collar & Capstan, Centauri and Lindeman, although excellent knots, can cause this restriction to the fishing lures action. The Homer Rhode Loop and Perfection Loop knots do not. If using the latter two knots, do not make the loop too large as the lures hooks can become entangled in the loop and there simply is no benefit from a larger loop. The leader to lure knots illustrated here are suitable for tying both saltwater fishing lures and freshwater fishing lures.
