Although not too dissimilar to joining braided fishing line to leader, joining it to a straight monofilament type fishing fishing can open a few extra options in that the line diameter sizes usually become a little closer. However, most braided fishing line or Dacron fishing line are highly susceptible to wear and highly prone to slippage. These problems can become exaggerated do to two different fishing line types being joined.
