Braided Line to Nylon Line
Although not too dissimilar to joining braided fishing line to leader, joining it to a straight monofilament type fishing fishing can open a few extra options in that the line diameter sizes usually become a little closer. However, most braided fishing line or Dacron fishing line are highly susceptible to wear and highly prone to slippage. These problems can become exaggerated do to two different fishing line types being joined.
Marinews.com  refers to any fishing lines that are fine, limp, have little stretch, lack memory and are very strong, as super-lines. However, susceptible to wear and they do require extra care in both knot choice and knot when joining fishing line to line.   Differing line diameters created with the joining of the finer super-lines to heavier monofilament lines exasperates the problems. Slippage is of major concern and only a few knots are suitable for the task.
The braided fishing line to leader joins illustrated here, are suitable for both saltwater fishing and freshwater fishing situations.

The Blood Knot is used for joining two lines of similar diameter. It is suitable for lines up to 30kg (65lb) breaking strain, however the wider the difference in line diameter the weaker the knots strength.
The Double Blood Knot is used for joining two lines of similar diameter. It is a common method for attaching monofilament lines of similar diameter and is relatively simple to tie.
The Double Centauri knot is an excellent knot for joining lines with similar and slight variations in line diameter, this makes it a particularly versatile line to line knot.
The Double Four Fold Blood Knot is used for joining two lines of similar diameter. It is a common method for attaching monofilament lines of similar diameter and is relatively simple to tie.
The Double Nail knot provides a strong connection between two lines of similar or different diameters.
The plaited splice is a method of joining two lines and provides maximum line strength.
The Reverse Twist Blood Knot is an effective knot for joining two lines and follows the same principle of the blood knot. It works well with monofilament, light lines and some super lines.
